What If Cars

1955 Pontiac Pomona

1955 Pontiac Pomona

Description : "What If" Pontiac had been allowed to offer a
car based on the Chevy Corvette? Cleverly named after the famous
raceway in California, and birthplace of the NHRA, the car lives up to
it's name. Made of lightweight fiberglass, and powered by the all new
287 cube "Strato-Streak" Pontiac V8, it really moves. It also offers a
bit of luxury too, with plush leather upolstery, and "dream car" dash.
Styling cues from big brother Star Chief include, split bumperettes,
twin ribbed hood bands, simiilar two toning, nub fins, and twin round
tailights. The Pomona would have punctuated Pontiacs new "flying
circle" logo- truly putting it in the "Winners Circle".
